Robinhood is a great example of disruption in the Banking and Trading Industry.
Traditionally brokers charge between $10 and $30 for a trade of stocks, gaining a Margin of over 90%.
Robinhood, a mobile only trading platform, introduce a FreeMemium Model (aka Spotify) where users are charged zero commission for traded executed in 24 hours or a $10 monthly fee for trade executed immediately.
The result? $200m Annual Revenues and a valuation of over $6bn....
