The strange journey of East Germany: from Communism to Extreme Right

In last Sunday elections ADF (Alternative for Germany), the extreme right German Political Party, was the first party in several provinces and region of the former East Germany with over 35% of the votes.

Its an interesting journey compared to the latest election of DDR prior to the fall of the Berlin Wall. In the 1986 election the Communist/Socialist party achieved 90% of the votes..
